That Ross Matthews has got me thinking of soup. This is my favorite soup lately. I got it from the Red Shoes blog and have been making it ever since. It's called Stone Soup. Go to Costco and get a bag of frozen Italian meatballs. These are the stones. I use about 24 of them for 1 big batch of soup. Add: 1-28 oz. can seasoned, diced tomatoes, 32 oz. low-sodium Swanson's Beef Broth, 1- 16 oz. bag frozen fiesta mix veggies (broccoli, kidney beans, chick peas, carrots and lots of other veggies), 2 fresh carrots peeled and sliced, 2 potatoes peeled and diced, 1 medium onion coarsely sliced, 1 bay leaf, 1/2 to 1 tsp. garlic pepper. Heat it up until the potatoes are done, about a half hour and enjoy! Love to all in the world.

In an attempt to update my blog I deleted my header and got a new shabby design which I love, love, love. I am trying to figure out how to operate this thing not being very good at "playing with it" as most wiz people tell me to do. Little by little I will learn. I wanna get pretty good at this blogging world. I scan lots of other peoples blogs to see many moms, artists, writers, locations, languages. I really enjoy escaping into their worlds prolly because my world is kinda ho hum and dull but you never know what can come of it. I'd like to get some of my story out there for others to read about if I can come up with the words to describe how I got to where I am. It'll be a surprise each day to see what I come up with.

I work full-time in an busy middle school office where some really funny or really sad things happen daily. Maybe I'll share tidbits of that sometimes. All I say right now about that is that kids are people too. They need regular backup and if you are a parent you need to find the balance in your life to be there. You would be happy to know 95% of parents I have come to know do it perfectly. The other 5% wouldn't learn how to do it if you , well, whatever you did, it wouldn't matter. Some people need a lot of help. This bothers me greatly.

I am privleged to have a nice husband and 2 adult kids, whom I adore. The older one is just pregnant and living far from me with her nice husband and dog. The younger one is into graphic design and being awesome.

Now for the mean part. If you in any way like someone named Dick C. or R. L., are a bully, like tea, only care about yourself all the time, are conservative and living in our great country of the United States, please move on now to the next blog. Thank you. Just keeping it real. Signing out for now. Love to all in the world.

Happy freakin Friday! This January of 2009 is frigidly cold. Today is -28. No schools in the area are open. My house is shivering as the cold permeates all 14 of its windows. The furnace spouts bursts of heat and is champion of the day. I leave cupboards open under the sinks so that heated air can get up in there to protect the pipes on this 40 year old house. There's even frost on the inside of the garage door and its doorknob. Go away winter, go away!

Welcome! First of all let me thank my daughter Meredith for designing the snazzy header for my blog. I think it looks great! The name Red Heart Miracles came to me many years ago when I was designing cards and notecards to use and give as gifts. I thought if I ever had a little business that's what I would name it. Thankfully, the name was available to use here. I'm sure this blog will evolve into something less ordinary than this post but being my first blog page and first blog post I was thinking I'll just keep it simple for now.

Happy New Year! 2008 was sorta a downer for me so bring it on 2009! I'm ready for some good things to happen! Aren't we all?
